This is an unaccompanied chorus suite consists of three tunes. Each of them is based on traditional folk songs inherited since ancient times in Iriomote-island, where is on the east china sea about six hundred kilometers far from Okinawa main island.\nSonnai, a little village on the west side of Iriomote-island, had been keeping their agricultural celebration within it we can find various performances, old styles of songs and dances.\nI had chosen three ritual songs among them, and make it compose with modern style for the male chorus unaccompanied. In each tune I treated hayashi, the nonsense refrains, as important musical idioms which represent effective scenes not in the voicing manners but structural meanings as a whole.\n1. Iwai-Uta : Introductive song for Sichi-matsuri\n2. Taue-Uta : Pray song for agricultural fertility\n3. Ya-Takabi : Praising song for the house building
