Not only brain damaged also schizophrenic patients were examined the Modified Mini-Mental Test (3MS) to analyze whether it's effectively utilized in clinical situation. Consequently four factors were extracted from 3MS which were conducted brain damaged patients. We called these factors "orientation","memory and concept","copy design and dictation", and "naming and written order" respectively.\nChronic schizophrenic patients were divided into five groups by their age, 20-, 30-, 40-, 50-, 60- age, respectively. The factor of "memory and concept" was declined as a function of age. Other factors was not significantly changed by their age.\nLastly we suggested 3MS should be utilized with other brief neuropsychological tests to clarify global dysfunction of cognition of these patients.
