沖縄産スギ幼令木樹幹および 2 年生枝の仮道管長の変異について(林学科) Variation in tracheid length for stem of a young tree and two-year-old branches of Okinawan sugi (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don)(Department of Forestry) 仲宗根, 平男 Nakasone, Hirao open access 沖縄産スギ材の仮道管長は福岡産スギ材より短かい傾向にあったので, 9年生幼令木の樹幹と同木につく全枝の2年生枝の各年輪における晩材仮道管長を測定した。母樹の最下端部の2年輪目は2.00mmであったが, 2年生枝は1.60∿1.80mmと短い傾向を示していた。その枝を用いてえた10本の仮道管長の異なるさし木苗を同一林地へ植栽した。Sanioの法則による成木後における仮道管長の伸長が期待されるので, 立木中における材質改良の一方法を見い出すためこの実験を行なった。なお林地へ植栽した苗木の生育測定も継続中である。 The tracheid length of Okinawan sugi wood had a tendency shorter than Fukuoka area sugi. The disk of each growth height were collected to stem of the young tree (nine-year-old) and were measured the tracheid length in late wood. The results were the same as the previous paper. Fifty scion from two years old branches of all twig with the young tree were collected and the tracheid length of secona annual ring were examined. The tracheid length of second annual ring in stem base were 2.00mm. But the tracheid length of branches were 1.60∿1.80mm. The cultivated cuttings (ten samples) of branches were planted. This experiments were done so as to find a method of improved wood quality and to be expected spread of the tracheid length after adult tree by Sanio's law.
