国頭礫層土壤における牧草のマンガン吸収と石灰施用の影響

1.前報で行なった実験に使用した土壤及び同実験で得られたパンゴラグラスについてマンガン含量を調べた.2.易還元性マンガン含量は泥灰岩土壤に多く,国頭礫層土壤にはほとんど検出されなかった.3.パンゴラグラスのマンガン含量は泥灰岩土壤において最も高く,平均39.0ppmであった.国頭礫層土壤に栽培したものでは無石灰区で平均11.7,石灰区で15.4ppmの含量であった.4.国頭礫層土壤において石灰区のグラスが無石灰区のものに比べてマンガン含量が高いことについてはなお詳細な実験をして検討することが必要と考えられた.
Pangolagrass obtained from the previous experiment of liming was analyzed for its manganese content. The experimental result and discussion made were as follows: 1)The pangolagrass grown on the Shimajiri clay soil, of which pH was 8.0 and easily reducible manganese was 241,2 ppm, contained 39.0 ppm of manganese in average. 2)The grass grown on the limed Kunigami gravel soil contained 15.4 ppm of manganese, but the grass from the non-limed Kunigami gravel soil contained 11.7 ppm in average. Easily reducible manganese in the Kunigami gravel soil was found as low as below 1.0 ppm. 3)It was considered reasonable that the grass absorbed more manganese from the Shimajiri clay soil containing much manganese, though the pH of the soil was high. It was, however, considered that detailed study on manganese uptake of the grass in relation to liming on the Kunigami gravel soil was necessary, for the result came out contrary to general belief.
