1. The research is an examination of the precision of the breast height basal area factors 4 and 1 in estimating the volume and tree number by the Bitterlich method. 2. The breast height basal area factors should be large when the diameter of the breast height becomes large in estimating volume and tree number by the Bitterlich method. While the factors of 4 and 1 are enough to make the estimation on general forest (DBH ≤150 cm). 3. The breast height basal area factor is more suitable as 1 than 4 for the young forest in which the research was done. As the result of the survey, it was found that the breast height diameter ranges 1 cm to 13 cm and the arithmatic mean of the breast height diameter is 5.3 cm. The number distribution showed a normal distribution.
