A}, month = {Aug}, note = {The effect of tensile overload on fatigue crack propagation behavior of Fe-3% Si alloy was investigated by the measurement of surface crack length and crack closure level. Crack propagation after the overloading was observed to be delayed under constant stress amplitude. The delayed propagation was predominated by the crack closure behavior, and when the crack propagation rate da/dN became lower, the crack closure level became higher. Also, the crack propagation law could be reasonably evaluated with the effective stress intensity factor range ΔK_ independent of the delayed propagation.
