Unlike American universities, however, the area of foreign student advising has not been regarded as a specialized field. Thus, the support systems that have been developed and subsequently implemented to perform its role are somewhat less efficient than American counterpart.\\nThis paper focuses on how administrative staff responsible for advising and dealing with international students view their jobs. Through interviews conducted with these staff members, this paper endeavors to expose and clarify the difficulties that are involved in dealing with international students.
