Sun and shade leaves were taken from trees in Garcinia natural forest in Iriomote Island, Garcinia premise forest in Kitanakagusuku-son and Garcinia greenbelt in Nago-shi. The quality of sun-and shade-leaf of Garcinia sudelliptica show a similar tendency, such as, sun-leaf have smaller and thicker blade and greater length/width ratios than shade-leaf, of other tree species. 2. Number and longitudinal length of stomata of sun-and shade-leaf were 440-558 no./(mm)^2,353-383 no./(mm)^2 and 32.7-34.3μ, 31.7-33.2μ, rerpectively. 3.
