The inhibitory activity was detected in the boiled extracts of freshly harvested Chlorella cells and spraydried powder Chlorella cells which were cultured in the acetic acid-containing medium by using large-scale pond culture plant. The inhibitor was non-dialyzable and seemed to be protein-like substance. The inhibitor was found to be heat-stable (98℃, 20min) at pHs ranging from pH 2 to 9.
