University of the Ryukyus}, month = {Nov}, note = {ミョウガの周年栽培を目的に, 本種の休眠を誘起する外的要因, 特に, 日長, 温度要因について検討した。1)高温条件は16時間日長下で, 地上部の生育を促進した。しかし, 10時間日長下では, 加温及び無加温のいかんにかかわらず, 地上部の生育は抑制され, 地下部には塊根が形成された。2)減少日長下で, 植付け期を変えて栽培すると, いずれも11月下旬から12月上旬にかけて止葉が形成され, 地上部の生育が抑制された。一方, 16時間日長下では, いずれの植付け期においても, 地上部の生育は抑制されなかった。3)6月2日から自然日長及び16時間日長下で栽培し, 10月1日に相互に日長区を変えて栽培すると自然日長から16時間日長に変換した区においては, 再び旺盛な生育を示した。逆に, 16時間から自然日長に変換した区においては, 生育旺盛な状態から抑制的生育を示すようになった。以上の結果から, 短日条件はミョウガの休眠導入に対する主な要因の1つであると結論した。, Effects of temperature and photoperiod on the induction of dormancy in Zingiber mioga were investigated. 1) The growth of aerial parts in this speices was promoted under the long day (16-hour daylength) with the heating treatment (20.5℃-30.9℃). Under the short day condition (10-hour daylength), however, the formation of tuberous roots and the lodging of terrestrial stems were observed independently of the heating treatment. 2) Under the decreasing natural daylength condition, the induction of dormancy in this species was hastened according as the planting time became late, while it was inhibited independently of the planting time under 16-hour daylength condition. 3) The plants, which were shifted from natural short-daylength to 16-hour daylength condition, exhibited the flourishing growth. On the other hand, the flag leaf on their terrestrial stems were formed in the plants which were shifted from 16-hour daylength to natural short-daylength condition, and their growth of aerial parts were inhibited.
