内容記述 用いた若いサトウキビの茎の直径, 重さ, 糖度を各節ごとに調べた結果, 基部では, すべてその数値が大きく, 頂部にいくにつれ小さくなった。その長さは, 第3節で最も長かった。ヘキソース濃度は, 第4節でピークになった。蔗糖濃度は, 第4節から基部へ向かって急激に高くなった。この茎には, α-ガラクトシダーゼ, α-マシノシダーゼ, インベルターゼ, β-N-アセチルグルコサミダーゼ, β-グルコシダーゼ, β-キシロシダーゼ等のグリコシダーゼが存在し, これらのグリコシダーゼ濃度は, 第4節附近でピークをなしていた。これらのグリコシダーゼを精製する目的で, 蔗汁からの脱色法を検討した結果, DEAEセルロースカラムを用いると脱色効果が大で, 蛋白質やこれらのグリコシダーゼの吸着が殆んどないことがわかった。またα-マンノシダーゼ, α-ガラクトシダーゼおよびβ-N-アセチルグリコサミダーゼは, 或る程度精製すると, ディスクゲル電気泳動にかけたのち, ゲル中の酵素活性を発色させることができた。
