University of the Ryukyus}, month = {Nov}, note = {1.本報告は八重山群島, 石垣市磯部, 竹富島, 黒島において1974年10月に調査されたテリハボク林に関するものである。2.調査地は4ケ所で, 林令は32∿44年生, 成立木本数は2,500∿3,900本/ha平均樹高は7.1∿8.3m, 平均胸高直径は11.7∿14.7cmであった。3.胸高直径階別本数分布は山型であるが, 頂点の位置は異なる。樹高階別本数分布は山型, 2山型, 丁字型がみられ, 階層構造でみると, 複層林, 2層林及び単層林となる。4.樹高曲線を拡張相対生長式で示した。八重山地方テリハボク林の樹高曲線を次式で近似した。1/H=0.5874/D^<0.82>+0.0497なお, 井上^<2)>の資料は上限樹高を想定すると, 1/H=0.6061/D+0.0574で示される。5.総樹高生長曲線からみると, 砂質未熟土と暗赤色未熟土では生長に差がみられ, 前者で初期生長が大で, 早く生長率が小さくなる, 即ち, 上限樹高が小さい傾向がみられた。, Terihaboku (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) forests in Yaeyama Islands (Ishigaki, Taketomi and Kuroshima Islands) were studied for the stand structure. Studied sites were shown in Fig. 1. Frequency histograms of diameter at breast height and tree height were shown in Fig. 2,5,8,12 and 3,6,9,13. Tree height-DBH relations were shown in Fig. 4,7,11,14,15. Main results were summarized in Table 2. Studied sites were four stands, stand age distributed from 32 to 44 years, number of tree per hectare was 2500 to 3900,mean tree height was from 7.1 to 8.3m and mean diameter at breast height was from 11.7 to 14.7cm. Distribution pattern of diameter at breast height was bell-shaped type. Distribution patterns of tree height were bell-shaped, two bell-shaped and J-shaped type. Structures of layer were mono-story, two stories and multi-stories types. Tree height (H)-diameter at breast height (D) curve represents a hyperbolic regression, 1/H=0.5874/D^<0.82>+0.0497.
