This study was done in order to investigate on the lowest limit of available soil moisture in irrigation for sugarcane. The sugarcane which was used in this test was planted in pots. 2. To atain this purpose, the seventy pots in which the sugarcane was planted were divided into ten groups and the soil moisture of the pots in each groups was controlled at pF1.9,pF2.3,pF2.7,pF3.0,pF3.4,pF3.6,pF3.7,pF3.8,pF4.0 and pF4.2 respectively. We investigated the relationship between the values of pF and daily transpiration and growth of the sugarcane. 3. The daily transpiration, the gradients of the linear equations on the relationship between the daily transpiration and temperature, stem diameter and stem length of the sugarcane decreased slowly until about pF3.5,but quicly after that for the increase of the values of pF. The dry weight of the sugarcane decreased quickly after about pF3.2 for the increase of the values of pF. But the relationship between the values of pF and plant length of the sugarcane showed leanear equation with negative gradient. 4.
