One plot was on the north slop which recieved northerly wind directly (Plot I), the other was set on the east slope which was sheltered from the northerly wind by the trees nearly (Plot II). Experiments were done from Jan, 1974 to Jan, 1975. Results observed here were as follows : 1. The elongation of terminal shoots were greater in the Plot II than in the plot I. 2. During the experiment, elongation peaked in March, July and October in decreasing order. Monthly elongation of terminal shoots were more the a centimeter through out the year. 3. The growth of pine leaves started from March, of which the first peak, that was the greatest among the growth peaks, occured in May, the second peak occured in July and the third from October to November. 4. Sprouting manner of the terminal shoots divided into folloing three types : tipes 1 had only winter bud (dormant bud), type 2 had one growing shoot and type 3 had two growing shoots.
