 note = {西表島の熱帯農研を中心とした園芸植物の調査を行なった結果, 61科119種記載された。草花用として11科24種, 盆栽用として20科38種, 観葉植物用として25科44種, 花木おたび庭園木用として33科46種, 果樹用として4科6種である。その中で特に注目されるものとして, 1.草花用 コウトウシラン, ナリヤラン, イリオモテラン, ノボタン, ヒメノボタン, フジボグサ 2.盆栽用 ヒラミカンコノキ, ミズガンピ, シマヤマヒハツ, ハリツルマサキ, ヤエヤマコクタン, タイワンウオクサギ, ヒレザンショウ 3.観葉植物用 リュウキュウヒモラン, コブラン, ヤブレガサウラボシ, ヘゴ, ミミモチシダ, シマタニワタリ, コミノクロツグ, ヤエヤマヤシ, ハブカズラ, カゴメラン 4.花木および庭園木用 ヒメサザンカ, サキシマツツジ, セイシカ, サガリバナ, サンダンカ, モッコク, モンパノキ, クロガネモチ 5.果樹用 フサラ, シマヤマヒハツ, After searching chiefly around the reservation for the Tropical Agriculture Institute of University of the Ryukyus located Iriomote Island, the author has found out that 61 families and 119 specis of wild horticultural plants grow there. Among the plants, ther raise 11 families and 24 species of flowering plants, 20 and 38 of japanese dwerf plants, 24 and 44 of foliage plants, 33 and 46 of blossom and garden trees, and 6 of fruit trees. The listed below are especially noticeable. 1. Flowering plant; Kotoshiran Nariyaran Iriomoteran Nobotan Himenobotan Fujibogusa. 2. Japanese dwerf plant; Hiramikankonoki Mizuganpi Simayamahihatsu Haritsurumasaki Yaeyamakokutan Taiwanuokusagi Hiresansho. 3. Foliage plant; Ryukyuhimoran Koburan Yabulegasauraboshi Hego Mimimochisida Simataniwatari Kominokurosugu Yaeyamayashi Habukazura Kagomeran 4.
