Some properties of the strain F-64,a bacterium of the isolated, were studied. 1. The becterium could not grow in the presence of 2-furoic acid concentration above 1.0% in the growth medium. 2. When the bacterium grow in the medium containing 2-furoic acid, glutamic acid was procuced in the growth medium.
