The result of quantitative analysis was shown that total lipids was 5.20-8.85mg, phospholipids 1.72-2.00mg, and sterol 0.39-0.66mg per 1g of sugar cane bagasse. The major fatty acid of total lipids from sugar cane bagasse were C18 : 2,C16 : 0,and C20 : 1; the first two acids occurred to the extent of 25%, while the later accounted for only 10% of the total. C20 : 1,C16 : 0,C18 : 2,C20 : 0,and C18 : 1 were the principal fatty acids in the carbohydrate fraction. The triglyceride fraction contained C16 : 0,unknown fatty acid, C18 : 0,and C18 : 1; palmitic acid was the major saturated acid and comprised approximately one-third of the total fatty acids. The principal fatty acid identified in the free fatty acid fraction were C16 : 0,unknown fatty acid, and C18 : 1; the first acid was the major fatty acid and accounted for 37% of the total fatty acids. The major fatty acid in the sterol, mono, and diglycerides fraction were consisted of unknown fatty acid, C16 : 0,and C18 : 1; the first two acids accounted for 50% of the total fatty acids. Phospholipid fraction contained 26% unknown fatty acid and 22% C16 : 0 for the total fatty acids.
