Sugarcane stalks were dynanically cut by rotary cutter of fixd of a shaft (Fig 7) The cutting was experimented at six cutting angles in a range of 0°to 50°, and at five cutting speeds in a range of 17 to 21 meters per second. The shape of cut ends of the sugarcane was examined as affected by the cutting angle and speed. The results obtained were in the following. When sugarcane stalks were statically cut, their resistance inereased with the circumference of the stalks. The relationship was expressed as Y=9,967+11,783 X where Y was the resistance and X the circumference of sugarcane stalks. (Fig 3) The appropreate speed was 20 meters per second in the dynamic cutting. The best cutting angle was 40°with 25°of the wedge angle to obtain the minimum resistance. In the dynamic cutting the angle of action desreased with increasing cutting angle as the wedge angle was kept constant, and so decreased was cutting torque accordingly. The cutting torque was 0.8m-kg at 40°of the cutting angle and 20 meters per second of the cutting speed in the present experiment., 紀要論文}, pages = {73--87}, title = {サトウキビ収穫機に関する研究(第 2 報) : 茎稈の切断抵抗について(農業工学科)}, year = {1971} }
