 note = {A scincid lizard Mabuya multicarinata consists of two subspecies (M. m. multicarinata from the southern Philippines and M. m. borealis from the central and the northern Philippines) and two poorly studied populations isolated in Palau and Lanyu Island, Taiwan. In this paper, external characters of the Lanyu population are exmined and compared with those of the two Philippine subspecies. The results indicate subspecific allocation of the former to borealis rather than to the nominotypical subspecies. Biogeographical implications of the present findings are discussed., 紀要論文},
