The local heat transfer distributions are analogous to those of parallel plate duct with cylinders inserted in staggered arrangement. The average Nusselt numbers in periodic fully developed regimes, and the friction factors increase as pitch ratio P (P=L/H' L:wave length. H':amplitude) decreases.
