The Lagrange-Charpit method is used for the construction of the Lyapunov function for stability study of the power system. A product-type nonlinearity depending on flux decay is well-defined. The positive definiteness of the obtained Lyapunov function and the negative semi - definiteness of its time derivative are easily verified in the region which satisfy the sector-condition of this nonlinearity.
