The following results were obtained: 1) REE, Sc, Cs, As and Sb contents in crystalline and hard type of Ryukyu Limestone are found to be slightly higher than those in the others such as soft and powdered types. 2) There are no significant differences in REE contents of Ryukyu Limestone and associated materials. 3) Average Sc content of Ryukyu Limestone is 1.41 ppm, which is comparable with the values in the samples from nonlimestone areas. 4) Marine sediment contains relatively high As content with the average of 50.2 ppm whereas it is only 3.78 ppm in Ryukyu Limesotne. 5) Distribution pattern of REE in Ryukyu Limestone and associated materials displays a higher contents in light mass region than that in heavy mass region, which exhibits a negative Eu anomaly but not for a negative Ce anomaly.
