The cutting of difficult-to-machine materials is essentially attributed to their particular material properities, where high hardness and strength of the materials require larger cutting forces, and such increased force needs greater tools and causer work deflection, increased work input and friction loss with greater heat generation and higher cutting temperature. This subject was brought up as part of series of researches on the cutting of materials difficult to work. Suitable coating material and cutting condition were investigated and determined to improve remarkably the service life of the tools for cutting of stainless steel sus 304. The displacement of cutting edge and cutting temperature distribution in the tool were calculated by using the Finite Element Method., 紀要論文}, pages = {13--20}, title = {コーティング工具による難削材二次元切削の摩耗プロセス}, year = {1993} }
