The results are as follows; 1. Ryukyu Basho yarn increase its strength with moisture, and its strength is affected by the humidity and the numbers of twist. 2. The elongation of the yarn increases with its strength. 3. The strength of Hata-joint yarn is weaker than that of the jointless yarn, and its strength decreases 25%. 4. Ryukyu Basho yarn jointed with adhesive is stronger than Hata-joint yarn, and its strength is similer to the jointless yarn. 5.
