At spawning time they make their way to the sea where they release their spawn. Due to ever increasing construction of artificial barriers between land and sea, LHC's and other species that share their ecosystem are facing a survival crisis. Okinawa, the location of this research, is situated in southern Japan. Developing countries whose natural coastlines currently support the LHC will face the same problem in the future as Okinawa does now. Firstly, this research explored the effects of the construction of artificial barriers on the ecosystem of the LHC, via field survey. And then, to estimate the ability of the LHC to climb artificial barriers, quantitatively, experiments on the pulling and hauling force of LHC were carried out., 紀要論文}, pages = {41--45}, title = {オカヤドカリ類を中心としたコースタル・エコシステムに関する研究}, year = {1999} }
