When yielding occur in the element, The stress field satisfies the plastic condition in the element therfor the plastic condition equations is introduced into the principle of hybrid complementary energy using lagrange multipliers defined on the yielded checking point in the element. The elastic-plastic stiffness matrix can be derived throgh stationaly conditions of the principle of hybrid complementary energy. For numerical examles, the hybrid stress model is applied for the elasto-plastic analysis of the thick cylinder internal pressure, V-notch specimen under tensile load, the bearring capacity of foundation under footing and perforated plate under tensile load.
