Hotta, in addition to aliphatic hydrocarbons, fatty acid methyl esters, and phytosterols. The anthraquinone derivatives were identified as chrysophanol (1), kwanzoquinone B (2), obtusifolin (3), and aloe-emodin(4), respectively, by spectroscopic methods.
