The research was made in order to obtain the basic data for future management of the broad-leaved forest, investigating the stand composition of the comparatively better part of the existing broad-leaved forest. 2. The results of the this investigation are as follows. 1) The soil pH is 4.8 in average. The soil contents 7.32% of moisture and 30.31% of organic matter. 2) The under vegetation is mostly covered with Pleioblastus linearis Nakai (on the top in special) and partly with Ardisia quinqulgona Bl., Cinnamomum Doederleinii Engl., Symplocos japonica var. Nakaharai Hayata and Antidesma japonicum S. et Z., etc. On the :surface of the area, Heterosmilax japonica Kunth, and Mussaenda parvijlora Miq. etc. are found here and there. 3) There are about 25 species in this area. The representative species is Castanopsis Sieboldii (Mak.) Hatusima that accounts 50% in number and takes 75% in volume. 4) The number of the stand per hectare is about 6,000. It has L-shaped distribution. With respect to Catanopsis Sieboldii, the main tree-crop, it looks like to have a normal distribution. In each topography, the number per unit area is evidently decrease in the valley, the mid-slop, and the top in order. 5) The maximums of the diamater at breast height and the tree height are 20 cm and 13 m, respectively. The means of the diamater at breast height and the tree height are 8.42 cm and 6.5m, respectively. In each topography, both the diamater at breast height and the tree height decrease in the top, the mid-slop, and the valley in order. The tree height specifically showed the above tendency. 6) The volume per hectare is 152 m^3 by the method of the diameter measurement, 153 m^3 by the method of the sample tree, and 168 m^3 to 209 m^3 by the method of Bitterlich. By the two-varible volume equation, V=0.0025D^<2.24516>, the volume becomes 188 m^3. The authors adopt 188 m^3 in the research. 7) The mean branch percent is 25%. 8) The stand age ranges from 15 to 40 years. The average stand age (volume age) is 30 years. 9) The regression formula of the current annual growth of the diameter is I^^^=0.1672+0.0064X. 10) The volume current annual growth per hectare is about 10 m^3, and the growth, 5.4%. 11) The mean growth of the stand per hectare is 6.3 m^3., 紀要論文}, pages = {83--101}, title = {壮令広葉樹林分の林分構成} }
