It is the upper row of each height class in Table 5.2) The reason why the study of Okinawa-shii was made first is that the stock of it occupies 43 % of total stock of broad-leaved tree forest and 74 % of the useful broad-leaved trees in Okinawa working unit.3) Concerning the growth of Okinawa-shii, the height growth is very poor and the tendency of taper becomes greater as it grows in height. It seems to be due to the influence of wind; the reason might be made clear by the later studies.4) Today in Okinawa, the volume table published by Kumamoto Forestry Bureauis being used, but; a) Up until 15 meter high, the volume table value made by the author is greater than that published Kumamoto Forestry Bureau. b) After a survey made, it is found out that there are very few number of trees with 15 meter or above in height. c) The total volume of 61 trees obtained by using the stem analysis is compared which that which is obtained by using the volume table published by Kumamoto Forestry Bureau by rounding the diameters of trees to 2 centimeter and changing the height of the trees to 1 meter unit in Table 4. The later one was 2% smaller than the former one. The result of the same kind of study made at Yona Forestry of the University, in 1954, was 8% smaller.
