And the average amount of the three main nutrient elements applied to each crop were compared with the recommended amounts in the standard fertilization, of which index being designated as 100%.(Table) 2. As to the first crop of rice, N was 102%, P_20_5-83% and K_20-75%. 3. As to second crop of rice, N was 103%, P_20_ 5-85% and K_20-65%. 4. As to sugar cane planted in summer, N •was 100%, P_20_5-95% and K_20-79%. 5. As to sugar cane planted in spring, N was 97%, P _20_ 5-93% and K_20-95%. 6. As to sweet potato, N was 89%, P_ 20_5-41% and K_20-62%. 7. As to soy bean, N was 78%, P_20_5-61% and K_2O-79%. And it was found that 50% of the farmers investigated raised soy bean without fertilizing. 8.
