 note = {A crystalline substance obtained from the fresh leaves of Cerbera odollam, Gaertner, by a method to be described, yielded a heteroside called neriifolin. It crystallized from alcohol, mp. 208～209℃; 〔α〕D^^^<20>-49.8°(C_2, MeOH), it gave positive Legal and Baljet reactions, and had a molecular formula of C_<30>H_<46>O_8. On acetylization in the presence of pyridine, was formed a diacetylneriifolin, mp.133～135℃;〔α〕D^^^<20>-80.9ﾟ (C_2, MeOH). Neriifolin in the presence of a slight excess of alcoholic KOH solution isomerized to isoneriifolin. This gave a negative Legal reaction, was only slightly soluble in alcohol, mp. 250~～52℃;〔α〕D^^^<20>-72.5°-(C_<1.932>, CHCl_3), and formed diacetyl isoneriifolin, mp. 220～223℃;〔α〕D^^^<20>-88.8°(C_<1.958>, CHCl_3), on acetylization in the presence of pyridine. On hydrolysis, neriifolin yielded on long needle crystal genin, had a molecular formula of C_<23>H_<34>O_3. mp. 181～183℃., 紀要論文},
