The conglomerate or massive carbonate sediments are composed of 46.7 per cent of CaO and 4.0 per cent of MgO. These sediments contain, as impurities, relatively large amounts of silica, iron, aluminum and phosphate comparing with those of Riukiu limestone. Positive correlations appear to exist between iron, aluminum and phosphate contents. The amount of sandy sediments diminish rapidly at the particle size near 65 meshes. The calcium carbonate content of sandy sediments also depend largely upon the particle size showing to positive correlation, wherease silicate and heavy minerals increase in fine powder sediments. The conglomerate or massive carbonate sediments are composed of high-magnesian-calcite, aragonite and quartz.
