In recent years considerable attentions have been given to Ocean structures. An artificial fishreef, such as the type of table coral, is planned in the Nagura Bay of Ishigaki Islands. In the design of Ocean structures it is necessary to estimate the force induced by shallow water waves. The force on the object exerted by the waves result from the velocities and the accelerations of water particles, that is to say, it can be assumed that components of fluid force consist of the drag force which is proportional to the square of the water particles and inertial force which is proportional to the acceleration exterted on the mass of the water displaced by the object. In this paper, the wave force equation is developed on the basis of the above assumption and is analytically solved. The characteristics of the force due to waves are measured in the wave tank and the results of experiments coinside approximately with the theoretical results, which means that the above assumption is reasonable. Main results of the study are summerized as follows: The values of Inertia and Dray coefficients are about the ranges from 2.0 to 2.5 and from 3 to 4 respectively., 紀要論文}, pages = {53--59}, title = {人口魚礁に作用する波力の研究}, year = {1978} }
