Though Coulomb or Mohr-Coulomb's criteria are usually used on the failure criteria of soils, the stress parameters from these criteria differ with the condition of the drainage during the shear. As the maximum deviator stress and the maximum effective principal stress ratio do not arise at the same strain, there are still problems about the internal friction angle at the undrained condition. In this paper the undrained shear tests are examined under the initial back pressure, nevertheless the above-mentioned phenomenon is not yet improved on the compacted sandy soil and clayey soil. Including the discussion on the results of the drained shear tests reported before, it is assumed that the most important internal friction angle is determined in terms of the maximum effective principal stress ratio or the energy correction presented by Taylor and Bishop. There will be more discussions about the failure behavior of soils taking account of the shear apparatus and the test procedures for each soil later., 紀要論文}, pages = {101--111}, title = {島尻層土の力学的性質について}, year = {1978} }
