Engineering}, month = {Sep}, note = {In this paper, an expanded technique of construction of Lyapunov function is applied to the transient stability problem of a synchronous machine connected to an infinite-busbar. The system model includes velocity governor represented by second-order response. The construction procedure is essentially based on the technique which gives generalized energy function of the similar system. The Lyapunov function is then used to estimate the critical reclosing times.
