This study clarify the abolition process of the \"Independent study\" and the feature of \"Curriculum\" concept by Kimiya Kenpou who promoted \"Independent study\" and abolished it by the Ministry of Education in 1951., Confusion and stagnation were seen in the status and practice on \"Independent study\" in \"Curriculum\". As a result, the Ministry of Education changed the interpretation of \"Independent study\". And \"Independent study\" follows to the difficult situation, and became \"Independent study abolition\" in the Curriculum Council report in June, 1951. However, Kimiya Kenpou planned \"Elective subjects\" in Curriculum Council of 1949. They said that the content of \"Independent study\" and \"Elective subjects\" was same . .Kimiya Kenpou and the member of the Curriculum Council in 1949 groped for a course of action to locate the area with an original purpose as \"Development of the study of the subject\" in \"Curriculum\". However, the plan was not achieved. The location of the area related to \"Development of the study of the subject\" on the curriculum was lost. It means that \"Development of the study of the subject\" became difficult in the situation without \"Time\" and Unit for \"Synthesis of knowledge\" in the each subject.
