Two sampling sites,A and B,are situated ; one (A) in the small river and the other (B) at the southwestern margin of the pond. The three kinds of samples for ostracodes (gravel-bearing sandy sediments,large gravels with minute algae and fallen leaves) were collected at the site A. The sample at the site B is the residue which was collected through a plankton net from the surface water adjacent to aquatic plants, mainly water hyacinth. The live ostracodes collected consist of 4 species, Cypridopsis vidua, Darwinula stevensoni, Dolerocypris fasciata and Physocypria. nipponica. C. vidua dominantly occurred, while the other three species were relatively rare. The decrease of the population density of ostracodes in June and September at the site A might be due to the prominent lowering of the dissolved oxygen concentration, and the decrease from June to September at the site B due to the high temperature around 30℃. The freshwater ostracode fauna from the study area can be characterized by a few species number and low population density., 紀要論文}, pages = {159--169}, title = {琉球大学千原池および池に流入する小河川の淡水性貝形虫群集}, year = {2016} }
