As a result, both species appeared to inhabit the channel in relatively high density; the weatherfish and the swamp eel had densities of 4.67 and 1.78 individuals/m2, respectively. DNA analyses suggested that both species appear to belong to native populations. For the reasons mentioned above, this channel was judged to be an important habitat for the endangered Okinawan native weatherfish and swamp eel., 沖縄島北部に位置する沖縄県立北部農林高校の敷地内の水路において, ドジョウMisgurnus anguillicaudatus およびタウナギMonopterus albus の生息密度を調査したところ, 前者は4.67個体/m2, 後者は1.78個体/m2といずれも高い値を示した. また, 採集した個体を分子解析に供したところ, 両種ともに在来系統と考えられる塩基配列が得られた. 以上のことから, 同水路は絶滅が危惧される沖縄在来ドジョウ, およびタウナギの貴重な生息地であると判断された., 論文}, pages = {15--20}, title = {沖縄県名護市におけるドジョウとタウナギの高密度生息地とその遺伝的特性}, volume = {34}, year = {2017} }
