The sex ratio wasstrongly female-biased. The mean ± SD carapacelength was 141.9 ± 27.6 mm (range: 95–207 mm).The carapace lengths of the females from TaramaIsland was similar to those of the native populationfrom Iriomote Island, which is considered relativelylarge in terms of their mean carapace length.
