In the field survey a total of 341 Yaeyama yellow pond turtles, Mauremys mutica kami, were collected by bait traps or by hand from a broad region in Yonaguni Island during May 1–5, 2015. The collection results and mensural data indicate that the Yonaguni population has higher density and smaller body size than those of other islands’ populations.
