The previous Quantitative survey’s data conducted in year 2002 is analyzed from the perspective of UK’s National Statistics about the social exclusion and found that the inclusion of South American Nikkeis is clearly recognized only the aspect of social activity. In the employment market, it tends to be disadvantageous for them due to the differences in languages. Instead, they tend to make their living as self-employed or family workers. It is found that the environment of Okinawan society enables them to get the economic base by which is easy to start business of small trading. Analyzing the qualitative survey’s data in year 2015 about the spread and utilization of the social capital of South American Nikkeis in Okinawa society by focusing on the Personal problem counselor and Support during job seeking / job change, the data reveals that Japanese language proficiency and the adaptation to the Japan’s Society is strongly required in the public places like offices, education, etc. However, it is clear that the target group use the private network of family, relatives, friends (including colleagues) to gain jobs and information and find the place where they can belong. In addition, it can be said that the majority of the Okinawa society cherishes the informal private network rather than the formal social relations like the administrative officials. As there is the structure that fosters the social action and awareness such as the mutual respect and trust to each other in private network, the private social capital supports the South American Nikkeis in promoting the social adaptation and social rise in the public sector where the multiculturalism is not proceeded., 紀要論文}, pages = {95--123}, title = {沖縄における南米系日系人の求職過程 : 移民の社会適応と社会移動に対する社会関係資本に着目して}, year = {2018} }
