According to the contents, Chin, Kai and Rin, Kyou have been drifting at sea in a waterchest but Rin, Kyou has passed away before reaching Iriomote Island.  The letter asks for clothes and a coffin to be given to Rin, Kyou as well as a burial. They also requested for the metal nails to be returned after the waterchest has been burnt. Written on 27 December, 1785.
