The family precepts were written in poetic verse so this is both a poetry book and a book of family precepts. Originally written by Peechin Onaga Chikudoun in 1845, this document was passed on to Yaeyama's Iriomote Shuri Ooyako in 1847. The poems were separated into sections such as Jikkakakun(10 family precepts), Juunikakakun(12 family precepts) and Hakkakakun (8 precepts pertaining to loyalty to the King and filial piety etc).
