It appears that the picture with the red horse was painted by Miyara Peechin Tousou, who was the Kashira(Head) of the Yaeyama Island Magiri (district) since 1872. The horse riding pictures portrayed the Satsuma warriors dressed in formal attire, driving the decorated horses fast.
