The writer was Peechin Miyara.  Tomobu is a form of labour tax that allowed the Kashira of the outer islands to use 10 peasants five times a month. However, at the beginning of the Meiji Period, people no longer actually took part in physical labour but instead paid the tax in the form of rice,  wheat and soybeans ie the shikuchimai. The document has records of the village name, peasant name, date of receipt, type of tax received as well as the amount.
