 note = {Two stygobiotic shrimp species, Metabetaeus minutus (Whitelegge, 1897) (Alpheidae) and Halocaridinides trigonophthalma (Fujino & Shokita, 1975) (Atyidae), are recorded for the first time on the basis of specimens from Yonaguni-jima Island, Yaeyama Island Group, southern Ryukyus, Japan.
