Nei. It’s one of a very few materials from the Ryukyuan point of view regarding the Satsuma Invasion. It records the two and a half years, from March 1609 to October of 1611.It’s thought that it was completed under the rule of King Sh? H? (reigned 1621-40).The whole diary is written as memories, but things other than the author’s direct experiences are written about. Generally, the literary style follows that of war chronicles of the middle ages, particularly that of The Tale of Heike. About half the diary is dependent on war chronicles, and it has been confirmed that there are 8 examples of passages borrowed from The Tale of Heiji, 7 examples from The Tale of H?gen, and 57 examples from The Tale of Heike.This material is the oldest copy in existence made in 1820.
