Kei. This was in order to collect information about Ryukyu tributary affairs. It records all their experiences of Ryukyuan customs, language, geography, history etc, as well as the way in which ceremonies were carried out, as a study of ancient texts; illustrations also included. There are many instances where Edo period scholars have depended on this writing for their information relating to Ryukyu.
