Beginning with the story that the first generation of Youcho originated from Iriomote Island, the text has records of many characters and their stories at the time. For example, the rule of Yaeyama under the Chief of Miyako (Touimiya), the arrival of Dutch ships, cultivation rites, annual tribute taxes, the building of ships and records of tsunamis etc. The event with a confirmed date is that of the Yaeyama Tsunami in 1771. As this is not a clearly dated text, it is difficult to determine the details of the events recorded. However, this is a very important document for understanding the Yaeyama society at the time.
