"本研究の目的は，才能教育下のアスリートとその家族・家族的関係における依存性について，アディクション臨床の観点から検討し，才能教育下の教員およびスポーツ指導者の望ましい在り方について議論することである。はじめに，スポーツ臨床研究におけるアスリートと家族・家族的関係の依存性、およびアディクション臨床における依存や嗜癖に関する研究を整理した。その結果，スポーツ臨床におけるアスリートと家族らの依存性は，アディクション臨床における精神分析的観点による依存や嗜癖と本質的に同様であった。アスリートと家族らは「共依存関係」で，彼らの状態は「嗜癖的人間関係」に基づく「依存症潜伏期」（斎藤，1999）にある。アスリートの問題行動や身体症状は，依存症が「家族関係を基盤に発達段階を通じて蓄積された苦痛を緩和・軽減しようとすることの現れである」というカンツィアンらの「自己治療仮説」のメカニズムが適用できる。教員やスポーツ指導者はアスリートの「疑似親」（Marcia,
